The Newark Trust for Education is excited to announce this year's launch of Campaign Central, committed to serving as an independent source for information about the 2021 Newark Board of Education election scheduled for Tuesday, April 20th.

From now until April 20th, we’ll do all we can to ensure that you find the information needed to make your choice. The Trust is committed to creating a forum for the residents of Newark to hear and assess the candidates’ priorities and ideas.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved and get informed:

Learn about the candidates: Learn more about the candidates at our annual forum on Tuesday, April 6, from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm via Zoom. Click here to register now. You can also hear from the candidates on Thursday, March 18, from 6:30pm to 8:00 pm at the NAACP's Newark School Board Forum via Facebook Live @NEWARKNJNAACP.

Your vote does more than impact the leadership of our educational system. Your voice ensures that we work collectively and democratically to address the critical needs of Newark’s students.

We urge you to join us in this crucial conversation and participate in the democratic process.

Vote on Tuesday, April 20 in the 2021 Newark Board of Education elections — because all Newark’s children deserve a high quality public education.

What to Watch: Women's History Month

Every March since 1987, Congress and U.S. Presidents have designated the month as Women's History Month.  This year, PBS is celebrating the accomplishments and vital contributions of women in history with documentaries and stories that center women's experiences in history.

Everyone can enjoy and learn something new from this collection of stories by women and about women.
