Newark Trust for Education is pleased to partner with the Victoria Foundation, Newark Arts Education Roundtable, Newark Thrives! and Schools That Can Newark for this exciting grant opportunity open to all public schools in Newark, NJ. 

Overview:

In the 2018-19 academic school year, Victoria Foundation grant making related to Newark’s public schools was undertaken by 4 local intermediary organizations:

Newark Trust for Education – for grants related to social/emotional learning

Newark Arts Education Roundtable – for grants related to arts education

Newark Thrives! – for grants related to STEAM efforts

Schools That Can Newark – for grants related to college access & success

Grant Opportunity for 2019-2020: 

For the 2019-2020 academic year, Victoria Foundation is hosting an information session for all interested public schools and partner nonprofit agencies in Newark to learn more about this grant opportunity.

When: Thursday, January 10th at 2pm

Where: The Priory (233 W. Market Street, Newark, NJ)

At this information session, you will learn details about the grant opportunity, application requirements for schools, and instructions for submitting a letter of interest (LOI) for the 2019-2020 academic year.

Some of the benefits of engaging intermediary organizations to conduct grantmaking on our behalf includes: opportunities for capacity building sessions related to evaluation, program enhancement and fund raising; and convening school leaders to share best practices.
