The Newark Trust for Education is excited to announce this year's launch of Campaign Central, committed to serving as an independent source for information about the 2022 Newark Board of Education election scheduled for Tuesday, April 19th.

From now until April 19th, we’ll do all we can to ensure that you find the information needed to make your choice. The Trust is committed to creating a forum for the residents of Newark to hear and assess the candidates’ priorities and ideas.

Here are some of the ways you can get involved and get informed:

Watch the Newark NAACP's Candidates Forum Tonight: Get your first preview of the candidates tonight, March 22, from 7:00pm to 9:00 pm at the NAACP's Newark School Board Forum via Facebook Live @NEWARKNJNAACP.

Learn about the candidates: Learn more about the candidates at our annual forum on Tuesday, April 5, from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. This year's forum is presented in collaboration with Project Ready and Rutgers University Newark School of Public Affairs and Administration, and will be live streamed. Click here to register for forum reminders and to receive the livestream link

Follow us on Facebook and Instagram and visit Campaign Central on our website as your go-to place for information on candidates, issues and voter resources.

Stay Informed: At Campaign Central you will have the opportunity to read our fact sheets on information related to the election and get to know the candidates hoping to serve our schools and community.

We urge you to join us in this crucial conversation and participate in the democratic process.

Vote on Tuesday, April 19 in the 2022 Newark Board of Education elections — because all Newark’s children deserve a high quality public education.
