Director, P-12 Strategy
Ms. Parry is responsible for leading the Trust's P-12 strategy: aligning perspectives, strategies, resources, and policies within the ecosystem to ensure all Newark students have access to high-quality public education. In addition to identifying and promoting research-based practice, she provides information to stakeholders, creates forums for the exchange of ideas, and works with partners throughout the city and state to promote equitable learning conditions.
Previously, Stephanie developed programs and policies at the national Living Cities Integration Initiative's (TII) partner site in Newark, an effort to improve the education outcomes of children in low-income neighborhoods by improving their health and well-being. As part of her role, she oversaw the implementation of innovation projects and advocacy efforts to bridge gaps in education, primary care, mental health services, housing, and nutrition for children, using a collective impact approach.
She has previously worked with local stakeholders to improve the organizational capacity and quality of non-governmental organizations in Cameroon, Uganda, and South Africa.
Her undergraduate degree is in Sociology with a minor in Education from the University of California, Berkeley, and her master's degree is in Public Administration with a concentration in Nonprofit Management from George Mason University. In addition, she holds an International Association for Strategic Planning (IASP) certification as a Strategic Planning Professional (SPP).
She is an outdoor enthusiast and a gardener. Her hobbies include strength training, swimming, bicycling, and spending time with her two sons.
