Founded in 2018, the Summit serves as a gathering place for educational stakeholders representing families, learning organizations, and public, nonprofit, and community educational institutions that form Newark's educational ecosystem. 

The Summit has featured a number of themed papers and panels since then, including those related to Social-Emotional Learning, Mental Health, Early Childhood Learning, Quality Child Care, Family Engagement, and Educational Partnerships in Newark.
