Program Officer, Early Learning
Ms. Morales is responsible for the Great Start, Great Future Series, which connects caregivers and facilitates access to community resources, developmental information, and assessments.
She joined the Trust as a coordinator of the ParentChild+ program, which provides early literacy assistance to children between the ages of 16 months and three years. This role involved creating a bilingual curriculum of books and toys for families in Newark's North and East wards and empowering caregivers to be their children's first teachers. She is currently involved in developing Families as Decision Makers, a collaborative effort between the Trust and Newark caregivers. They are committed to making a positive contribution to their community.
Her previous experience includes working as a prenatal case manager and a family worker at a preschool before joining Newark Trust.
Currently, Ms. Morales is working on her master’s degree in Social Work at Rutgers University and plans to graduate in 2024. On weekends, she works as a Developmental Interventionist for NJ Early Intervention Services. In addition, she enjoys attending concerts, being outdoors, and making crafts in her free time.
