The Newark Trust for Education is assisting in faclitating an unprecedented effort in the philanthropic community in Newark to coordinate resources and make strategic investments in current and future school models.

The Newark Public Schools Innovative Schools Investment Fund is a joint effort of the Newark Trust for Education and the Education Sub-committee of the Newark Funders Group spearheaded by the Council of New Jersey Grantmakers.

The Fund allows local funders to pool their resources, eliminating duplication of efforts and aligning funding with a common vision of support for all Newark’s children.

The Trust, with leadership from the Governance Committee of the Fund, is pleased to announce its support of nine new school models: BRICK Avon Academy, Newark Global Village School Zone, STEAM Academy, Newark Leadership Academy, Hybrid High, Bard Early College High School, Sakia Gunn School for Civic Engagement, Woodrow Wilson Newark Early College High School, and Newark Innovation Academy.
