What is the NET Navigator?

The NET Navigator is the first user-friendly, location-based mapping of external resources invested to support the Newark Public and Public Charter Schools. 

The NET Navigator is a powerful tool for funders that easily enables them to see just what programs and initiatives are operating, how much is being invested in each of these programs, and the impact of the programs – school by school – throughout the Newark Public and Public Charter Schools.

What will the NET Navigator do? 

The NET Navigator will first “map” and provide a sortable list of the external resources being allocated in Newark Public Schools and Newark’s Public Charter Schools. The NET Navigator will go beyond a basic mapping project to serve as a guide for investments of time, expertise, and resources. The “guide” aspect will serve to inform funders where their interventions and investments are needed most, where there are opportunities for collaboration, and where there may be too many initiatives competing for limited capacity for effective implementation. The NET Navigator connects funders, academic institutions, businesses, and community-based education non-profits to the work and to each other in real time. In order to avoid duplicating efforts, or worse, implementing competing efforts, new promising programs can be examined.
