for charter and traditional public schools in Newark
Starting in the 2018-19 academic school year, Victoria grantmaking related to Newark’s public schools will be undertaken by 4 local intermediary organizations:
Newark Trust for Education – for grants related to social/emotional learning
Newark Arts Education Roundtable – for grants related to arts education
Newark Thrives! – for grants related to STEM/STEAM efforts
Schools That Can Newark – for grants related to college access & success
Victoria Foundation will NO LONGER be accepting letters of intent or proposals directly from public schools or school management organizations in Newark. Some of the benefits of engaging intermediary organizations to conduct grantmaking on our behalf includes: opportunities for capacity building sessions related to evaluation, program enhancement and fund raising; and convening school leaders to share best practices.
There will be a technical assistance session for all interested schools and partner nonprofit agencies to learn more about this grant opportunity on Wednesday, January 17th, starting at 2pm at Victoria Foundation's building (31 Mulberry Street, Newark, 2nd floor). At the technical assistance session, you will receive information about the online link to submit an initial letter of intent.
